The story behind Promises for Parkinson's

When her father was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease, our Executive Director, Stacey Mann was moved to make a difference.  Knowing that her best defense would be knowledge and the support of those around her, Stacey began to research ways to put her desire for positive influence into action.

After attending seminars and conducting research, Stacey realized just how close the medical and scientific communities are to discovering the cause of and a cure for Parkinson's Disease.  Knowing that the possibility of finding the cause of and a cure to Parkinson's could be on the horizon, Stacey moved forward with her research and ideas.

Promises for Parkinson's was founded with these goals in mind: 1. Give the gift of a better way of life for those living with Parkinson's, 2. Support the scientific community aiming for a cure, and 3. Keep costs low in order to donate at least 90% of every dollar to the cause, if not more.

By educating our community members, family and friends we will help build awareness about Parkinson's Disease.  With this knowledge and support, we can move forward together to help make Parkinson's Disease a part of history and celebrate our lives without its burden.

Promises for Parkinson's is and always will be a volunteer based organization. Our "staff" is a group of dedicated individuals who volunteer their time to help those with Parkinson's. It is what makes us unique and what drives our passion to continue working for every single person affected by Parkinson's. Want to volunteer with us?
